Dr. Weigel was also recently published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. This is the leading orthopaedic scientific journal in the United States. His article on management of High Energy Tibial Plateau fractures was the result of research performed during his five year specialty Training at the University of Iowa, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Weigel completed his residency and joined Alexandria Orthopaedic Associates P.A. in August of 2000 to practice general orthopaedics. Dr. Weigel is married with four daughters. He enjoys being on the sidelines of high school games and working with the athletes. Dr. Weigels interests include golfing, hunting, fishing, and other water activities.
